March 2003

I've been having a hard time keeping things on track.  I get snacky and just can't seem to stop, and it's reflecting on the scale.

March has been an up and down month, starting with a gain of 1.2 gain, then a 0.2 loss, then a 0.4 gain, then a 0.2 loss. 

I've missed being outside and doing my walking and biking and this long winter has been hard.  I'm hoping to get in gear and kick out of this funk which has been going on since late October.

I've registered again for the Women's triathlon on Labour Day weekend (www.womenstriathlon.com) and it's time to start walking and biking again.  I am even considering attempting to run a bit.  Who knows!

April 2003

Well April has started off bad, I did start walking/biking again March 26th, but then this WINTER FROM HE** hit is again, and we got snow and ice!!  Now I'm waiting for things to dry up so I can get out on my bike and walking on my lunch again.

I've gained twice, 0.6 gain on both April 1st and 8th.  It is now Saturday the 12th and I think I'm doing much better this week.  If I can just stop munching when I get the munchies, I'll be OK.  It is a challenge to keep myself from going to the kitchen and grabbing something to eat.  

I'm feeling complacent about my weight loss journey, I'm comfortable at my current weight, with the exception of my sucky flabby belly.  And I'm getting people at work who think I'm still losing, and saying that I shouldn't lose any more.  Well I'm still above 190 and I really want to get to my 160 goal.  And the fact that I hadn't updated my web page here since late February.  I have to keep this going for accountability.  

Well I was pleased at the scale tonight, I lost 1.4 pounds!!  YIPPEE ... now I'm back on track and I plan on keeping going again and getting down to my 3rd 10% of 190.2.  

I will be good over Easter, it should be OK because we're off to Mum's for the weekend.  The only challenge of the weekend will be a bridal shower on Easter Sunday.

Well things started off OK for Easter, but we had our Easter dinner Saturday night and Mum gave us "goodie bags" with stuff in it ... and I ate it ... and that got me started, then once the Easter eggs went out, I started on those little foil covered chocolate eggs ... and couldn't stop.

And I paid for it at the scale with a 2 pound gain.  It is now Thursday after my Tuesday weigh in, and I'm doing better ... I ate the minimum of my points yesterday, and again today, so now heading into Friday I have a 10 point bank ... which I may use tomorrow night as we are thinking of going out for a family dinner.

I MUST DO IT ... I MUST GET BACK ON TRACK AND HEAD TO GOAL!!!

I'm doing it ... I'M DOING IT!!  but the tales from the scale will tell tomorrow night.

Well I lost 0.4 for the last April weigh in.  :)  HOORAY!
